regionRegionsBecause wine is an expression of factors that are inherent to its region, such as grape varietals, climate, soil, and winemaking techniques, our wine selection is organized by general geographical location. Within each general region are Denominaciones de Origen (Denominations of Origin) that mark more specific geographical locations and guidelines for its wines and winemaking. Atlantic SpainThis region stretches from Galicia in the lush, cool Northwest along the Bay of Biscay to the Basque Country. The refreshingly crisp and aromatic white wines of Rías Baixas come from this part of the country. Albariño and Godello are the principal grape varietals. Some lighter, vibrant, and aromatic reds are also produced in this region. North CentralThis region is influenced by the Pyrenees and Cantabrian mountain ranges, which provide shelter from the extremes of the Atlantic. Rioja and Navarra, separated by the Ebro River, have been historic leaders in the Spanish wine trade, producing elegantly blended wines. Wines are typically Tempranillo based wines. Castilla – LeónLocated in the central plain of Spain where the Duero River meanders, this region is known for its extreme climate variations, reaching extremely high temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures at night. Mainly a red wine region, Ribera del Duero and Toro produce wines that are perhaps the most distinctive expressions of the Tempranillo grape. Mediterranean NorthThe Northern Mediterranean region provides a wide range of wine styles. Geographically diverse with a range of soils and microclimates, this region is able to work with many grape varietals. Priorat, working primarily with Garnacha and Cariñena, has become as one of the most important regions in the world. Mediterranean SouthThis region is influenced by a warm Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine and little rainfall. The principal grape, Monastrell, produces deliciously ripe wines. Jumilla and Yecla are emerging regions that are gaining attention. CentralExtreme temperatures influence this high, flat, semi-arid plain south of Madrid. This region, previously known for large volume wine production, is today creating exciting modern wines of quality from the Tempranillo varietal. La Mancha, the largest demarcated wine region in the world, is paving the way for a bright future. CavaCava is the term used for Spain’s sparkling wines made in the traditional method of fermentation in the bottle. The most important Cava producing region is Penedés near Barcelona. However, other regions adhering to the traditional method can carry Cava on the label. Cava wines are fun, sophisticated, uplifting, and suitable for any occasion! SherrySouthern Andalucía is the home of the incredibly diverse range of Sherry. Chalky soils, hot Mediterranean influence, and original techniques, create unique winemaking conditions that cannot be duplicated anywhere else in the world. From delicate aperitif wines to richly concentrated dessert wines, Sherry is one of Spain’s unique wine treasures! appertivosAppertivosCatas - FlightsTinto De España - Taste 1-Rose and 2- red wines $12 Blanco De España - Taste 3 white wines $12 Tempranillo Flight $12 Garnacha Flight $12 Cava Flight $13 Sherry Flight Seco (Dry) $12 Sherry Flight Dulce $12 Sweet Wine Flight $12 Jerez - SherryBarbadillo“ Solear”, Manzanilla. $6/3 (glass/taste) Sandeman “Don Fino” $6/3 Dios Baco, Amontillado, Semi dry $6/3 Pedro Romero, Oloroso (dry) $6/3 Bodegas Dios Bacos, Oloroso / Semi dry $7/3.5 Sandeman Ambrosante, Pedro Ximénez $9/4.5 Cocktels – CocktailsCosmopolitan $8.5 glassCarta De Vinos Por Copa - By the Glass
